M&A Associate (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization in Frankfurt am Main seeking an M&A Associate to take ownership of the complete acquisition process. In this role, you will:

• Build and manage your own pipeline of acquisition targets independently – you will generate opportunities rather than wait for inbound leads
• Conduct negotiations directly with practice owners, articulating compelling partnership value propositions and driving deals forward
• Manage end-to-end deal execution from initial contact through closing, maintaining full process ownership without requiring reminders or oversight
• Collaborate closely with the existing M&A team and senior leadership
• Develop toward regional leadership responsibilities as you demonstrate mastery of deal processes and strategic execution
• Travel regularly to meet potential partners on-site and develop operational insights

What We're Looking For

This M&A Associate position demands exceptional structure, project management capabilities, and resilience when handling diverse and unexpected challenges. The ideal candidate brings:

• 1–3 years of experience in top-tier consulting, startups, corporate finance, or M&A environments
• Strong German communication skills with proven ability to persuade stakeholders and lead negotiations effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset characterized by proactive ownership and structured execution without requiring direction
• High personal accountability and process discipline to manage multiple concurrent deals without losing oversight
• Willingness to conduct regular on-site visits and build practical understanding of operational realities
• Healthcare sector experience is advantageous but not required
