Support Engineer (APAC)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential database technology company seeking a Support Engineer to join their APAC-based team. This is a fully remote position requiring coverage during APAC business hours.

Our client provides a comprehensive backend development platform used by hundreds of thousands of developers worldwide. You'll be joining a globally distributed support team that works closely with product engineering and growth teams to deliver exceptional developer support.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and timely responses to support cases covering billing, pre-sales requests, optimization questions, and implementation guidance
• Triage incoming support requests by directing users to relevant documentation, code examples, previous solutions, or escalating to appropriate technical teams
• Monitor multiple feedback channels including GitHub Issues and Discussions
• Identify opportunities to develop or implement internal tooling that improves support team efficiency
• Reproduce reported issues, create test cases, and contribute to improved test coverage where applicable

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience providing customer support to technical or developer audiences
• Strong proficiency in SQL, particularly PostgreSQL, with comfort handling complex queries
• Database administration experience is a significant plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools
• Experience working with GitHub Issues and Discussions
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Svelte) and Node.js is beneficial
• Computer Science degree is a plus but not required
• Must be located in APAC time zones for this role
