(Senior) IT Consultant (all genders) – Active Directory, PKI & Security

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential IT services organization seeking a Senior IT Consultant specializing in Active Directory, PKI, and Security. In this role, you will:

• Plan and implement complex hardening, security, and migration projects within Windows Server and Active Directory environments
• Identify, assess, and sustainably reduce security risks in complex Active Directory, PKI, hybrid, and legacy infrastructures
• Develop secure, scalable, and future-proof architecture concepts for Microsoft-based identity and infrastructure platforms
• Provide trusted technical and strategic consultation to clients on architecture and technology decisions, both remotely and on-site (approximately 10-20% travel)
• Expand the competency portfolio around Active Directory, PKI, and Identity Security as a strategic service offering
• Advance modern identity and access management solutions with growing focus on cloud-based security architectures

What We're Looking For

Our client values practical expertise and problem-solving ability. The ideal candidate brings:

• Several years of hands-on experience with Active Directory, including deep knowledge of AD Security Hardening, AD CS/PKI, and Windows Server administration
• Proven ability to work independently on projects, take ownership, and maintain composure in demanding situations
• Additional technical experience in areas such as failover clusters, PowerShell automation, auditing and security logging, or cloud-based identity platforms
• IT-related training, completed degree, relevant certifications (such as MCSE, MCSA, MCITP), or comparable qualifications
• Strong communication skills in both German and English for team collaboration and client engagement
• Location in southern or western Germany with work authorization
