About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a QA Automation Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis across the United States. This is a direct-hire W2 opportunity with significant career growth potential in a well-established firm.
Location: 100% Remote (United States)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Experience Required: 5+ years in QA Automation or SDET roles
Visa Status: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates welcome. New H-1B sponsorship not available.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and microservices applications using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or similar tools
- Automate UI, API, and end-to-end testing for web and distributed applications
- Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Perform performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
- Collaborate with development teams to identify quality risks and improve overall test coverage
- Troubleshoot defects, create comprehensive regression tests, and mentor junior QA engineers
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation or SDET roles
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
- Proven experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Hands-on experience with REST API automation, SQL, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and microservices architecture
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contract testing tools like Pact
- Performance testing experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
- Familiarity with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or Snyk
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
