About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications client supporting nationwide wireless infrastructure deployments. Our talent team is seeking an RF Design Engineer to join their organization and help deliver high-performance in-building wireless solutions across complex commercial environments.

This role focuses on designing DAS and small cell systems that ensure reliable indoor connectivity for LTE and 5G networks. You'll work on projects spanning commercial buildings, high-demand venues, and mission-critical facilities where coverage and capacity are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Design in-building wireless systems for DAS deployments, including both passive and active architectures
  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, technicians, deployment teams, OEMs, carriers, and project managers throughout project delivery
  • Ensure designs meet carrier RF specifications and compliance requirements
  • Read and interpret architectural floor plans and construction drawings
  • Produce clear, carrier-ready design documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • iBwave Level 3 Designer certification
  • Experience designing in-building wireless systems including DAS (passive and active) and small cell solutions
  • Prior experience working with major carriers on in-building wireless or DAS projects
  • Proficiency with iBwave for DAS design work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio) and design/documentation tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
  • Experience working on multi-carrier in-building systems for major operators
  • Experience in high-profile venues such as airports, stadiums, hospitals, and large commercial buildings
  • Familiarity with public safety systems (ERRCS, FirstNet) and CBRS or private LTE networks
  • Knowledge of OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines
