Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (Full-time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization operating a modern, technology-enabled pharmacy environment. This is an opportunity to step away from traditional retail pharmacy work and focus entirely on what matters most: accuracy, quality, and patient safety.

Our client has created a pharmacy setting where you won't be standing behind a retail counter, managing walk-in traffic, or selling OTC products. Instead, you'll work in a purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art equipment, focusing purely on delivering safe, high-quality pharmaceutical care. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Winnersh with free onsite parking.

Responsibilities

As an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician, you will be a central, trusted member of the pharmacy operation:

• Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational, and safety standards
• Take ownership of the end-to-end dispensing process, not just individual tasks
• Maintain clear, accurate prescription records and escalate discrepancies immediately
• Actively mentor junior colleagues and help build a team culture rooted in accountability, safety, and quality
• Stay current on professional development, best practices, and regulatory changes
• Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure every patient receives exactly what they need, when they need it

What We're Looking For

• Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC (mandatory)
• Solid, proven experience in a pharmacy setting with a strong track record in accuracy checking
• Deep working knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies, and SOPs
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards consistently
• Direct communication style with strong accountability and proactive problem-solving
• Genuine commitment to patient outcomes and pharmaceutical care excellence

• Full-time contract: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Saturdays available as overtime or shift work
