About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential tech platform in a search for an experienced Startup Careers Coach. Our client operates in the career development and education space, connecting ambitious professionals with the expertise they need to advance. This is a flexible, remote coaching role supporting candidates who are pursuing positions at startups and fast-growing companies.
As a coach, you'll work one-on-one with students and professionals to help them navigate the startup hiring landscape. You'll guide clients through AI fundamentals and automation relevant to their target roles, conduct competitive analysis on potential employers, and provide comprehensive support including resume review, cover letters, LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, and networking strategy.
This role is ideal for someone with direct startup experience—whether as an employee, founder, or advisor—who enjoys mentoring and has a structured approach to coaching. You'll set your own hours and rates, host virtual sessions, and collaborate with our client's team to deliver exceptional candidate experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one career coaching to professionals targeting startup roles
- Guide candidates in applying AI fundamentals and automation to their work and job search
- Conduct competitive analysis to help clients evaluate startup opportunities
- Review and improve resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles
- Deliver interview preparation and practice sessions
- Develop networking strategies tailored to the startup ecosystem
- Host virtual coaching sessions on a flexible schedule
- Partner with internal teams to maintain quality standards and candidate satisfaction
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience working at or advising startups
- Prior coaching, mentoring, or advising experience
- Clear, structured methodology for guiding candidates through career transitions
- Strong understanding of startup hiring practices and culture
- Familiarity with AI tools and their application in professional settings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide actionable feedback
- Comfort working independently in a remote, flexible environment
