Migration Engagement Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud services organization seeking a Migration Engagement Manager to lead complex customer engagements. This is a remote position based in the United States. Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is conducting the initial screening process for this role.

Responsibilities

You will manage all phases of cloud migration project lifecycles, working with internal teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders to deliver successful business outcomes. Your core responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to understand customer needs and ensure expectations are exceeded
• Planning, organizing, and managing project governance, schedules, team goals, milestones, budgets, and success criteria
• Leading multiple Agile teams concurrently through complex engagements using project management and agile best practices
• Managing engagement goals, issues, risks, decisions, dependencies, and action items to achieve customer business outcomes
• Holding internal and external teams accountable and managing customer expectations throughout engagements
• Leading migration wave planning and cutover execution across applications, data centers, operating systems, databases, and servers
• Analyzing project goals, creating execution plans, and guiding technical teams and customer stakeholders to achieve those goals
• Preparing and distributing project communications across all levels of management
• Traveling to customer locations as needed to deliver professional services

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience leading and delivering enterprise-level IT engagements
• 2+ years of experience leading multiple Agile teams (Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently and/or at scale
• 2+ years leading the planning and delivery of migration engagements within applications, data center, operating system, database, and/or server domains
• 1+ years delivering customer engagements in a professional services role
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise in project management across large, complex engagements
• Understanding of technology principles including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, and application platforms
• Excellent presentation, communication (oral and written), and relationship building skills across all levels of management
• Ability to work under pressure, stay within budget, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience delivering cloud migration engagements
• Knowledge of migration strategies such as Refactor, Re-Platform, Rehost, and Retain
• Experience with migration wave planning and cutover execution
• Knowledge of migration phases including planning, portfolio review, application review and validation, and operating model development
• Active cloud certifications
