Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential life sciences technology organization that is transforming how medical research reaches patients globally. We are seeking a Senior Business Development Director to join their commercial leadership team in London.

In this role, you will drive revenue growth by establishing and expanding partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, medical device manufacturers, and contract research organizations. You will play a strategic role in connecting innovative clinical research solutions with the organizations that need them most.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and CRO sectors
  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts, ensuring long-term partnership success
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, procurement teams, and key opinion leaders across the life sciences industry
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, networking events, and client presentations
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline documentation and deliver reliable revenue forecasts to leadership
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to inform product development and service improvements
  • Collaborate with leadership on commercial strategy and business expansion initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performing commercial organization

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 8 years of enterprise sales and business development experience with proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Deep experience selling to large pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, CROs, or related life sciences organizations
  • Background in commercial strategy, demand generation, or product marketing within international markets
  • Experience supporting large-scale patient recruitment initiatives or clinical trial operations is highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to build C-suite relationships and navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience hiring, coaching, or developing commercial talent is an advantage
  • Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a consultative sales approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment with flexible working arrangements
