Senior – Data Engineering (m/w/d) Azure und Databricks

Responsibilities

Our client, a technology consultancy based in the Cologne region, is seeking an experienced Data Engineering professional to develop, operate, and optimize modern data platforms. You will build end-to-end data solutions using Azure and Databricks while collaborating closely with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

• Develop, operate, and optimize modern data platforms on Azure and Databricks
• Design and implement scalable ETL and ELT pipelines as well as data lake and lakehouse architectures
• Enhance existing data solutions and integrate source systems
• Ensure data quality, performance, and stability
• Work closely with analytics, BI, and business teams
• Contribute to architecture and technology decisions as well as internal use cases for data ingestion and data preparation

What We're Looking For

• Degree in a STEM field or business informatics, or comparable qualification
• 3–5 years of professional experience in data engineering
• Proven track record designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions, ideally with Databricks and Azure
• Strong knowledge of data lakehouse architectures, ETL and ELT, streaming, and distributed data processing
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, such as Terraform
• Independent, quality-focused work style with the ability to communicate technical content clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams

Pay
