Product Lead (Healthcare)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization in the United Kingdom. We are seeking an experienced Product Lead to take ownership of product delivery across agile teams, working directly with external stakeholders in a client-facing capacity. This is a senior individual contributor role with team management responsibilities, ideal for someone who has proven experience in the healthcare or public sector space.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product backlog across one or more multi-disciplinary agile delivery teams, ensuring story quality and maturity
• Lead business analysts and product consultants, establishing effective requirements-gathering and prioritisation processes
• Collaborate with delivery managers and solution architects to shape delivery approaches across all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Devise goal-oriented roadmaps, secure stakeholder buy-in, and maintain focus on minimum viable product delivery
• Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders, negotiating conflicting viewpoints and achieving consensus on new initiatives
• Lead product teams to ensure product vision and goals are clearly understood and scope is managed effectively
• Manage scope within commercial constraints, including cost restrictions and project deadlines
• Actively support revenue-generating activities and lead product-level commercial negotiations
• Manage, coach, and develop team members with a focus on performance management
• Act as a visible leader, promoting good product management practices and agile best practices

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in bespoke software delivery as part of an agile team working for external customers
• Must have client-facing experience in a consulting environment
• Healthcare or public sector experience is essential
• Track record of owning product backlogs and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Experience shaping approaches across multiple phases: analysis, acceptance, launch, and live operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative breakdown of goals into value-delivering work increments
• Strong team management skills, including mentoring and coaching capabilities
• Commercial awareness with active participation in sales or revenue generation
• Experience building relationships with product and programme-level business stakeholders
• Ability to implement appropriate tools, standards, and techniques for requirements gathering
• Good understanding of relevant technologies and architecture concepts
• Experience securing buy-in from both internal teams and client stakeholders
