Clinical Data Manager RWD/RWE

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthtech organization based in Paris that is scaling its clinical research operations. Our client works at the intersection of real-world data and clinical research, transforming medical information into structured datasets that enable patient cohort development and research projects.

The Clinical Ops team currently processes 100-200 patient cases weekly. The goal is to triple this capacity over the next 9 months while maintaining data quality. To achieve this, our client needs an experienced Clinical Data Manager who can lead the team, optimize production workflows, anticipate workload, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with Product, AI, and Engineering teams.

This is a hybrid role combining operational management, real-world data expertise, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Clinical Ops team, providing clear priorities and organizing daily activities
• Anticipate workload and manage production capacity to minimize bottlenecks and absorb volume variations
• Build operational dashboards to monitor patient volumes, processing capacity, error rates, blocking points, and team workload
• Create and orchestrate a continuous improvement roadmap to progressively increase processing capacity from 100-200 to 300-600 patient cases per week within 9 months
• Champion this roadmap with Product, AI, and Engineering teams: make operational needs visible, track R&D deliverables, and establish the rhythm necessary for improvements to be delivered
• Ensure cohort quality and contribute to preparing data exports required for research projects
• Transform operational problems into structured improvement plans
• Create accountability around cross-functional deliverables

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Requirements:

• Successful experience in a startup or scale-up environment where processes, tools, and responsibilities were still being built
• Concrete experience with Real-World Data (RWD) or Real-World Evidence (RWE), ideally around patient cohort development or exploitation
• Healthcare or scientific background enabling understanding of medical data and clinical research challenges
• Proven experience managing operational teams
• Experience structuring and managing complex activities using data and KPIs
• Ability to move from concrete operational problems to structured improvement plans
• Experience collaborating closely with Product, Data/AI, or Engineering teams
• Capacity to advance cross-functional roadmaps and create accountability
• Fluency in French required for this Paris-based role

Nice-to-Have:

• Background in data management, biostatistics, epidemiology, or related scientific fields
• Experience structuring registries, healthcare databases, or RWD cohorts
• Familiarity with clinical research requirements and health authority interactions
• Understanding of AI and engineering applications in healthcare data
