Production Quality Engineer Intern

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defense technology organization that is expanding its production capabilities in the Paris area. Our talent team is seeking a Production Quality Engineer Intern for a 6-month engagement starting January 2027 at their manufacturing facility in Wissous.

This is an excellent opportunity for a final-year engineering student to gain hands-on experience in quality engineering within a fast-paced production environment. You'll work directly with the Quality team to establish metrics, improve traceability systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Define and establish First Pass Yield (FPY) baselines for each product line
• Perform comprehensive quality analyses including taxonomy development, Pareto analysis, and 5M root cause investigations
• Maintain and update daily quality dashboards for production tracking
• Lead problem-solving workshops in collaboration with production and methods teams
• Create and maintain outgoing inspection documentation and customer delivery files
• Track and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)

What We're Looking For

• Final-year engineering student (generalist, mechanical, industrial, or quality engineering)
• Previous 4–6 months of hands-on experience on a real production floor
• Genuine interest in quality engineering as a primary career path, not as a fallback option
• Demonstrated experience with 5M analysis, 5-Why methodology, and NCR handling
• Ability to independently build complex Excel dashboards for analytics
• Exposure to ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus)
• Basic knowledge of metrology and technical drawing interpretation
• Familiarity with electronics or electromechanical assembly processes is advantageous
• Fluent in French; professional English skills appreciated
• Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and autonomous work style
• Comfort working in a multicultural, fast-paced environment
