Tennis Technical Lead – Data

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports technology organization seeking a Tennis Technical Lead focused on Data. This UK-based role offers the opportunity to work on data systems that support major tennis events worldwide. You'll spend approximately 85% of your time working remotely or from office locations, with 15% dedicated to on-site event travel.

As part of our client's technical team, you'll oversee the tennis data platform that manages and distributes data feeds to contracted clients and third parties. This is a critical role ensuring accurate, timely data delivery while meeting all quality of service requirements and service level agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day data delivery schedules throughout the annual tennis calendar
• Configure, quality control, and assess data delivery performance across global events
• Generate internal and external reports analyzing data performance metrics
• Provide operational support to ensure teams are prepared for successful event execution
• Conduct regression testing on new software releases and test new platform features
• Onboard new clients and facilitate testing of data feeds and features
• Report issues, bugs, and improvement opportunities to product and development teams
• Manage data storage, historical data alignment, and data reprocessing execution
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, product, development, and commercial stakeholders
• Monitor and maintain service level agreements with contracted clients

What We're Looking For

• University degree or equivalent qualification
• Experience working in a global, multicultural business environment
• Proven track record introducing and executing new processes across teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong attention to detail with proactive, organized work style
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work independently
• Understanding of the global tennis events framework
• Willingness to learn cloud-based architectures
• Flexibility with working hours to accommodate global time zones
• Interest in statistics and data analytics
• Some knowledge of programming languages
• Data analytics experience required
• Experience with data and analytics tools such as Datadog and Splunk (advantageous)
• Line management experience beneficial but not required
