Fertigungsingenieur / Prozessingenieur (m/w/d) – Welding Technology

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization in Zweibrücken seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer specializing in welding technology. In this role, you will:

• Lead cross-functional projects in welding technology and robotics, including tender preparation, economic feasibility analysis, and procurement
• Develop programs and programming routines for current and future robotic systems
• Train and onboard production staff on robotic equipment and programming techniques
• Support investment planning as part of mid-term management initiatives
• Review models and technical drawings to assess automated welding feasibility
• Design and procure manufacturing equipment, including robots and automated systems
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure products are optimized for automated manufacturing processes
• Serve as the primary technical contact for the welding production team on manufacturing challenges
• Conduct training sessions for project launches in production environments
• Lead problem-solving processes and track implementation of corrective measures across departments
• Develop value stream maps to optimize information and material flows
• Implement initiatives for productivity improvement and quality optimization, including robotics enhancement
• Perform economic analyses, capacity planning, and utilization calculations
• Monitor and establish key performance indicators
• Plan and facilitate efficiency improvement workshops
• Evaluate and implement continuous improvement suggestions

What We're Looking For

• Four-year university degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable manufacturing engineering role
• Advanced skills in programming industrial robots, ideally in multiple programming languages (Cloos, Yaskawa, etc.)
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, CAD software, and Lean methodologies
• Welding engineering certification is advantageous
• Strong English language skills, both written and spoken
• Solution-oriented approach and strong teamwork capabilities
• Willingness to travel as needed
