Managing Director / Country Head (m/w/d) Deutschland

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is building out its standalone German operations. As Managing Director / Country Head Germany, you will assume full P&L responsibility and drive commercial growth in their most mature European market. This is a senior leadership role combining sales accountability, team development, and strategic market positioning.

Location: Berlin (Hybrid)

Responsibilities

• Own revenue and profitability targets for the German market, steering new business acquisition, pipeline management, and commercial forecasting
• Develop and execute the sales strategy for Germany, prioritizing key verticals including e-commerce, media & entertainment, banking & insurance, mobility, and energy providers
• Acquire new B2B enterprise clients and systematically expand existing partnerships to meet ambitious growth objectives
• Lead and develop a high-performing, results-oriented sales team
• Collaborate closely with C-level leadership and international country heads to win pan-European accounts and share best practices across markets
• Position the organization in the German market through press engagement, conference speaking, industry events, and customer forums
• Ensure regulatory compliance in coordination with central Legal & Compliance functions

What We're Looking For

• Several years of senior B2B sales leadership experience with proven track record of revenue growth and team scaling (e.g., Sales Director, Head of Sales, or Country Manager)
• Ideally background in fintech, debt collection, receivables management, or regulated financial services
• Demonstrated success building and scaling B2B sales organizations, including ownership of revenue targets, pipeline steering, and forecasting
• Strong, commercially valuable network with decision-makers in target industries: e-commerce, media & entertainment, banking & insurance, mobility, energy
• Hands-on sales mentality with high customer orientation—you actively engage clients yourself
• Clear, credible communication tailored to different audiences
• Quick comprehension and strong analytical capabilities
• Genuine interest in technology and AI applications
• Fluent German and English
