Senior Fullstack Engineer (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is building core investment infrastructure across Europe. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join a product-focused engineering team in Berlin. This role centers on building operational tooling that enables enterprise clients to manage their users' investment accounts efficiently and compliantly.

The team you'll join owns a critical service panel that allows client operations, support, and compliance teams to handle first-line requests independently—looking into end-user accounts, checking order status, and resolving operational questions without escalation. You'll be working at the intersection of modern frontend development, backend services, and emerging AI-enabled workflows in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Build operational features from concept to production using React/TypeScript on the frontend and Go on the backend
• Implement robust security patterns for multi-tenant environments, including per-client isolation, least-privilege access controls, and identity platform integrations
• Extend operational capabilities across internal domains while developing deep understanding of core system architecture
• Define how software delivery evolves in an AI-enabled organization by integrating modern AI tooling into development workflows while maintaining compliance requirements
• Design and build agentic operations capabilities with strict audit trails, solving real problems around autonomous actions versus human-in-the-loop requirements
• Ship high-quality code in weekly cycles with bi-weekly retrospectives focused on delivering measurable client value
• Take end-to-end ownership of features including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and relational data modeling

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Strong product engineering mindset with curiosity about the "why" behind requirements and proactive contribution of ideas
• Solid backend experience in Go, Java, or Kotlin (our client uses Go; ramp-up time provided)
• Practical experience building modern client-facing interfaces with React and TypeScript
• Track record building products requiring per-customer configuration without creating custom forks per client
• Deep knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Strong focus on quality, extensibility, and automated testing
• True end-to-end ownership experience across containers, CI/CD, and relational databases
• Working understanding of event-driven architectures
• Pragmatic engineering approach with ability to make smart tradeoffs under constraints
• Real-world experience using AI tools to enhance software engineering workflows beyond simple code generation
• Ability to navigate undefined problems and align cross-functional teams without formal authority

Beneficial experience:

• Investment products or fintech domain knowledge
• Building operational or back-office tooling for business users
• Identity platforms such as Auth0 or multi-tenant isolation patterns
• Operating services in decoupled, event-driven systems with modern observability tooling
