About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential edtech organization that is experiencing significant growth following substantial Series A funding. Our talent team is searching for a Finance Analyst to join a lean finance function in their London office near Chancery Lane. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain broad exposure to financial operations, strategic planning, and senior stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute the month-end close process and deliver management accounts that enable confident decision-making by senior leadership
- Build and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow processes that inform company strategy
- Analyze business costs and performance against plan, providing actionable insights across the organization
- Own day-to-day finance operations including payroll and payment processing
- Take end-to-end responsibility for year-end audit, statutory reporting, and compliance calendar
- Prepare financial analysis and materials for board meetings and investor communications, with potential to own the financial model over time
- Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in the finance function and implement process improvements and automation
- Design and embed controls and procedures appropriate for a scaling business
- Manage relationships with external finance partners and advisors
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in financial statements, reporting, and accounting principles
- One to three years of experience at a Big 4 or leading mid-tier firm, or in an industry finance team
- Part-qualified ACA or ACCA
- Ambitious professional seeking rapid development and progression in a high-growth environment
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills with strong financial modeling capability
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Inquisitive mindset with a desire to question numbers and understand the underlying business drivers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong drive for accuracy
- Natural inclination to automate processes and continuously improve workflows
- Comfortable managing ambiguity and competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software preferred; familiarity with data and reporting tools an advantage
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously while maintaining high standards
