Junior Urban Development Specialist (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential PropTech organization in Münster seeking a Junior Urban Development Specialist to join their Professional Services team. This role combines architectural expertise with modern technology to deliver digital feasibility studies for real estate development projects.

Our client operates at the intersection of architecture, planning law, and AI-assisted workflows. You'll work on regulatory analyses and mass studies while leveraging specialized digital tools to streamline complex urban planning assessments.

This is a full-time position available for immediate start, with remote work options or based in Münster.

Responsibilities

• Manage feasibility analysis projects independently from initial regulatory review through final client delivery, including zoning compliance checks and area calculations (floor area ratios, building coverage, gross floor area, residential space)
• Develop massing studies and volumetric models with economic viability assessments and visualizations for professional client documentation
• Utilize AI-assisted workflows and specialized research tools to automate processes while maintaining focus on technical depth and quality control
• Conduct client kickoff meetings and review sessions independently, gathering requirements and communicating results clearly and professionally
• Translate complex urban planning requirements into legally sound, well-communicated analyses with an architectural perspective

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Civil Engineering
• Strong knowledge of German planning law, particularly §34 BauGB, BauNVO, and area calculation methods (GFZ, GRZ, BGF, Wohnfläche)
• Demonstrated experience with massing studies and volumetric development through academic projects or early professional work, ideally using tools like Forma or similar software
• CAD proficiency (Vectorworks, Archicad, or Revit) and Adobe Creative Cloud for visualization work
• High affinity for AI technologies with demonstrated willingness to learn new software and digital tools
• Structured, reliable, and independent working style with ability to follow standardized workflows
• Strong service orientation with clear, professional client communication skills
• Native-level German (C1/C2) written and spoken; English B2 desirable
• Bonus: Prior experience in urban planning, project development, or architecture through internships or student positions
