Mid Level Front End Engineer

We are representing a confidential fintech client that has built a proven financial model and is now scaling rapidly. They need a mid-level front-end engineer to build the consumer-facing application that families use every day to navigate complex financial decisions. Responsibilities

• Build and own the consumer-facing web application using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
• Leverage AI development tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining rigorous verification standards
• Transform complex financial logic into intuitive, trustworthy user interfaces
• Collaborate closely with design and product teams from concept through production release
• Own features end-to-end, monitor user behavior, and iterate based on real-world feedback
• Maintain high code quality standards through thorough reviews, meaningful testing, and root-cause debugging
• Ensure mobile responsiveness and accessible design across all features

Your First 90 Days: You'll ship a small change to production within weeks, own a complete feature end-to-end within the first month, and become the go-to expert for a significant portion of the consumer application by day 90.

What We're Looking For

• Approximately 3+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript
• Strong foundation in HTML and CSS with proven mobile-responsive development skills
• Experience working with REST or GraphQL APIs
• Testing as a core part of your development workflow
• Enthusiasm for AI development tooling and pushing its capabilities further
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering
• Bonus: design sensibility and comfort working in Figma
• Bonus: experience with accessibility standards (WCAG)

Location: Remote-first, full-time position. Work from anywhere in the USA or Canada, with team members concentrated around New York City for those who prefer in-person collaboration.

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Our client offers total cash compensation between $100K and $150K (base plus discretionary bonus), significant equity ownership, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and a home office setup stipend.
