Director Strategy – Clinical Enterprise

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking a Director of Strategy - Clinical Enterprise to serve as an embedded strategy lead within a major business unit. This is a work-from-home position based in Pennsylvania, offering the opportunity to shape organizational direction at the intersection of enterprise planning and clinical operations.

In this role, you will partner directly with executive leadership to translate enterprise priorities into actionable strategic plans, drive disciplined execution, and maintain alignment across a complex system. You'll balance deep business-unit partnership with an enterprise perspective, ensuring strategies are decision-oriented, integrated, and supported by clear metrics and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business unit leaders to frame critical strategic questions and develop strategic direction aligned to enterprise priorities, recommending choices and tradeoffs informed by current environment and future opportunities
• Translate approved strategy into multi-year and annual plans with clear priorities, targets, sequencing, and resource implications; develop and pressure-test business cases in partnership with Finance
• Surface cross-business dependencies, risks, and sequencing challenges; coordinate resolution of enterprise-level tradeoffs while maintaining both BU partnership and enterprise perspective
• Define key analytic questions to inform strategic decisions and translate analysis into decision-ready options, implications, and risks; conduct independent future-sensing
• Provide hands-on strategic support for enterprise-critical initiatives, clarifying scope, milestones, and dependencies while building capability through shared frameworks
• Support strategic performance reviews, using insights to drive decisions and corrective actions; signal when strategy adjustment may be required
• Lead executive strategy sessions and cross-functional forums; develop clear, concise executive narratives, decision memos, and presentations to build alignment

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum 7 years of related work experience
• Minimum 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience
• Strong analytical thinking and business analysis capabilities
• Critical thinking skills with ability to frame complex problems and develop decision-ready recommendations
• Excellent interpersonal communication and executive presence
• Experience with market research and strategic planning methodologies
• Computer literacy and comfort with strategic planning tools and frameworks
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred
