About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization in their search for a Policy & Regulatory Affairs Intern. Our client is building intelligent energy solutions that integrate solar, storage, heat pumps, and e-mobility into a unified system. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy policy while contributing to meaningful climate action.
This internship is based in Berlin with remote flexibility and requires a minimum commitment of six months full-time.
Responsibilities
- Monitor ongoing legislative processes at federal and EU levels, analyzing implications for products and customers
- Independently track specific policy dossiers and keep the team informed of developments
- Research and contribute to position papers and official statements, from reviewing legislative texts to drafting final language
- Prepare briefings for meetings with parliamentarians, ministries, and industry associations; attend meetings and document outcomes
- Support coalition-building efforts with other industry organizations
- Expand and maintain stakeholder databases and develop monitoring tools
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree with a mandatory or voluntary internship requirement (minimum six months full-time), or recent graduate seeking post-study practical experience
- Previous experience in political advocacy or public affairs with understanding of legislative processes
- Interest in complex regulatory frameworks and willingness to engage with technical and economic aspects of energy transition, not just political dimensions
- Structured, reliable, and independent working style with strong research skills and commitment to source verification
- Excellent written German communication skills; ability to work through English-language EU documentation
- Comfort using tools and automation to improve efficiency
- Confident professional presence in German and English; negotiation-level proficiency in Dutch, Spanish, or Swedish is a plus
