Responsibilities

We are representing a mid-sized manufacturing organization in the Bodensee region seeking a Head of Production Controlling. In this role, you will lead production controlling activities, manage a small team, and serve as the controlling link across subsidiary operations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Analyzing manufacturing costs and processes, developing relevant KPIs, and deriving concrete action recommendations—including responsibility for daily and batch-based production accounting
• Managing cost and performance accounting, overseeing manufacturing cost calculations, and creating transparency through plan-actual comparisons and variance analysis
• Providing controlling support to international subsidiaries: validating results, tracking KPIs and measures, and harmonizing controlling standards across the group
• Preparing and commenting on monthly reporting while actively contributing to budget planning and forecasts
• Refining methods and processes, supporting audits and ERP projects, and collaborating closely with production, procurement, sales, finance, and international locations
• Leading the team, setting clear priorities, and personally contributing to day-to-day operations

What We're Looking For

• Completed university degree or comparable advanced professional qualification, plus at least five years of controlling experience
• Solid hands-on experience in production controlling and cost accounting, ideally from a manufacturing environment
• Initial leadership experience is desirable
• Confident use of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Infor M3, Microsoft Dynamics) and standard controlling/BI tools, with comfort handling complex data sets
• Very good German and English language skills
• Analytical yet pragmatic mindset, clear communication style, team-oriented, and solutions-focused approach
