About This Opportunity
We are representing a well-funded construction technology client in Munich who is transforming how large-scale building projects are managed. They've built an AI-powered platform that's already live on real construction sites, helping teams prevent cost overruns and delays on projects worth hundreds of millions of euros.
As a Product Associate focused on UX, you'll work directly with the founding product team to shape how construction professionals interact with modern software. This is an internship or working student position with the potential to transition into a full-time design role.
Responsibilities
- Design product features from concept to high-fidelity UI in Figma, focusing on tools used daily by construction teams
- Define how AI capabilities are presented and how users interact with generative features
- Create clickable prototypes and contribute to product specifications that enable fast shipping
- Conduct user research by joining customer interviews and observing how teams use your designs in real construction environments
- Build and maintain a design system, working with engineers to implement components
- Support brand and marketing materials including landing pages and product launch assets
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Currently enrolled in design, HCI, media informatics, architecture, or related field
- C1 level German—you'll speak directly with German-speaking construction project managers
- Strong Figma skills including components, prototyping, and systems thinking
- Technical understanding of how web applications work to collaborate effectively with engineers
Valued experience:
- Previous work designing AI or generative features with thoughtful opinions on UX patterns
- Strong product taste with attention to details others overlook
- Familiarity with AI design tools (Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, Lovable or similar)
- B2B SaaS or complex enterprise tool experience
- Motion design skills (Rive, Lottie), iconography, or illustration
- Portfolio demonstrating craft through side projects
What's Included
- Direct mentorship from the Chief Product Officer on product thinking and UX craft
- Access to real users—join customer interviews and watch your designs being used on active construction sites
- Rapid feedback cycles with work going live within days
- Hybrid work: minimum two days per week in central Munich office, flexible remote for remaining days
- EGYM Wellpass membership
- Opportunity to grow into a full-time design position after graduation
