Development Engineer R&D HF Power Amplifier Modules (m/w/x)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential communications technology organization seeking a Development Engineer for HF Power Amplifier Modules. In this role, you will:

• Define and design HF power amplifier modules for VHF and UHF bands used in broadcast and communication applications
• Develop amplifier circuits, combiner networks, and associated HF frontend components with focus on efficiency, linearity, and industry standards compliance
• Perform modeling and simulation using industry-standard tools (Keysight Advanced Design System, CST Microwave Studio, SPICE) to predict performance, thermal behavior, and reliability
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design teams to ensure seamless integration of HF modules into overall product architecture
• Lead the complete product development cycle from concept through detailed design, prototyping, experimental characterization, qualification, and PLM activities including requirements management, configuration control, change tracking, and end-of-life planning
• Conduct make-or-buy analyses, evaluate external solutions, and drive implementation of cost-effective, synergistic alternatives
• Create work packages with realistic time and cost estimates; monitor progress and report to stakeholders
• Transfer validated designs to serial production, including documentation, training, and on-site support for manufacturing teams

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/Microwave
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing HF power amplifier modules for VHF/UHF broadcast or communication systems
• Proficiency with Keysight ADS, CST Microwave Studio, and SPICE simulators
• Strong knowledge of HF power amplifier circuit design, combiner networks, and efficiency enhancement techniques
• Familiarity with PLM tools and product lifecycle processes
• Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)
• Strong initiative, results orientation, and ability to work both independently and within interdisciplinary teams
