About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in München that is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Support & Integration team. In this role, you will provide third-level technical support for distributed backend services built in C++, working closely with engineering teams to investigate production issues, support customer integrations, and maintain legacy systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced C++ engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, communicating with customers, and working across modern and legacy code bases in a meaningful healthcare context.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze customer-reported issues in production systems, integration environments, and internal setups
- Reproduce technical issues, identify root causes, and provide detailed findings to engineering teams
- Support customers with integration of backend services, APIs, and data flows
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in legacy C++ products to ensure continued operation
- Work with modern C++20 services and debug older C++ code bases as needed
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both internal teams and customers
- Contribute to development work when support priorities allow
- Collaborate with distributed teams on gRPC services using Protocol Buffers
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Several years of professional experience in C++ software engineering
- Experience in technical support, application support, integration support, or similar customer-facing technical roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in reproducing issues, analyzing logs, and identifying root causes
- Ability to work with both modern C++20 and legacy C++ code bases for debugging and support
- Experience with distributed backend systems and gRPC services using Protocol Buffers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly and concisely
- Independent, structured working style with ability to drive investigations to completion
Nice to Have:
- Experience supporting healthcare or other regulated software products
- Familiarity with Git and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, observability, logging, and monitoring tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience with DICOM or other medical data standards
