About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cryptocurrency exchange platform with a significant institutional presence across the APAC region. This is a client-facing role focused on developing and managing relationships with high-value institutional clients in the digital asset space.

We are seeking an experienced institutional relationship manager who can proactively identify, acquire, and nurture relationships with professional investment firms, asset management companies, quantitative trading teams, and family offices operating in the crypto markets.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and develop high-value institutional clients with significant asset scale and trading potential through industry events, peer referrals, and in-person visits
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified institutional prospects and drive partnerships to closure efficiently
• Develop deep understanding of each client's trading strategy, capital structure, and product needs to deliver tailored service solutions
• Maintain regular, in-depth engagement with clients to foster long-term trust-based relationships and drive growth in assets under management and trading activity
• Take full ownership of key performance metrics including AUM, trading volume, and revenue contribution for your client portfolio
• Consistently meet monthly and quarterly targets for asset onboarding and business activation
• Provide consultative product recommendations across spot, derivatives, structured products, and institution-exclusive services based on each client's investment objectives
• Gather and synthesize institutional client requirements and coordinate with internal teams across product, risk, compliance, and operations to deliver bespoke solutions
• Provide clients with market insights and professional guidance at critical decision points
• Stay current on institutional crypto market trends and competitor service strategies, sharing intelligence internally to inform product development

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in the Web3 industry with hands-on knowledge of cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, custody solutions, or DeFi products
• Strong ability to quickly identify and qualify target institutional clients with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience managing high-potential client relationships, client service, or account operations preferred
• Solid understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk-return dynamics; background in banking, securities, or asset management is a strong advantage
• Clear KPI and results orientation with comfort using data to measure and manage performance
• Ability to thrive in a high-intensity work environment with frequent travel and client visits across APAC
• Strong self-motivation and resilience with ability to drive execution in uncertain environments
• Fluency in both Chinese and English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) required
• Bachelor's degree or above; degrees in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields preferred
