About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential fintech organization operating in the wealth management and insurance technology space. Our client has built a B2B SaaS platform that connects wealth managers, private bankers, and insurance professionals across multiple European markets. This is a unique opportunity to join an international team working on complex financial systems that serve millions of end users.
Our talent team is seeking a Senior Analyst Developer to join their engineering organization in Spain. You'll work on scalable platform features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to both product development and technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and develop robust new features in an agile environment with test-driven development practices
- Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements across existing and new systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, business users, project managers, and engineers to deliver elegant solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and elevate technology standards across the team
- Work alongside other engineers to consistently apply best practices
- Participate in multi-engineer projects and support junior team members
- Contribute to hiring processes and shape the technical assessment experience for future colleagues
What We're Looking For
- Required: Experience working with Smalltalk OR software engineering experience in the life insurance sector
- Hands-on experience with modern development technologies and object-oriented programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven team collaboration abilities in multicultural environments
- Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies
- Capability to deliver on multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (working language)
- Master's degree in engineering, PhD in science, or equivalent professional experience
- Plus: French or Italian language skills
