Senior Safety and Loss Control Consultant

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential property and casualty insurance organization in their search for a Senior Safety and Loss Control Consultant. Our client operates across multiple states throughout the South, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions, serving thousands of independent agents and policyholders with specialized workers' compensation expertise.

This is a field-based position supporting operations across our client's service territory. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in loss control and the ability to lead team operations while maintaining direct client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the Loss Control team to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
• Review comprehensive risk assessments to verify and support underwriting decisions
• Identify potential risk exposures and formulate strategic recommendations to mitigate risks
• Design and implement loss prevention programs tailored to client-specific needs
• Provide technical guidance and training to clients on safety practices and regulatory compliance
• Oversee effectiveness of loss control measures and implement strategic adjustments to enhance outcomes
• Manage team members, including performance coaching, talent development, and training

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or related field within the property and casualty insurance industry
• Professional designation preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
• Experience managing 2 or more direct reports with responsibility for performance management and team development
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify problems and develop effective solutions
• Deep knowledge of loss control policies, procedures, and industry regulations
• Ability to operate independently under established policies with limited oversight
