Internal Audit Intern (Part-Time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare distribution organization in their search for an Internal Audit Intern to join their team on a part-time basis. This position requires 12-16 hours per week with potential to expand to full-time hours during summer months. The role offers hands-on exposure to financial auditing, SOX compliance, and accounting operations while working alongside experienced audit professionals.

This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing accounting degrees to gain practical experience in corporate audit functions and build foundational skills in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute quarterly sales cutoff procedures to ensure revenue is recorded in the correct accounting period with proper documentation
• Support the external auditor's year-end audit by assisting with substantive procedures and documentation
• Participate in financial and SOX compliance audit projects, including documenting findings and discussing results with audit managers
• Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned by the Internal Audit team
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and audit information

Pay

Compensation for this internship position varies based on education level and location. Candidates currently pursuing a bachelor's degree can expect hourly rates between $18-20 per hour depending on location. Those who have completed their bachelor's degree and are pursuing an advanced degree may receive $22-24 per hour. These rates are paid through Get A Job.ai.
