Business Intelligence Analyst

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization in their search for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join a scaling analytics function. This is an executional role providing essential analytics support across the organization—you will gather requirements, field ad hoc and recurring data requests, and build the reporting dashboards that leaders rely on to make decisions.

You will work hands-on with modern data tooling, including SQL, dbt, and enterprise BI platforms, and partner with teams across the business to translate their questions into clear, trustworthy answers. The BI team is highly cross-functional and sits alongside Data Engineering, making this a strong opportunity to sharpen technical skills while building broad business context in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design and build data models in SQL with a focus on correctness, clarity, and reusability
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and inform decision-making across the company
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer high-priority business questions from stakeholders across the organization
• Collaborate with teams to understand their data domains, reporting needs, and success metrics
• Contribute to data quality, documentation, and self-service BI capabilities as the function scales
• Deliver accurate, well-documented dashboards and reports that stakeholders trust and use regularly
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and establish yourself as a reliable analytics resource

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Intermediate-to-advanced SQL experience: ability to write advanced queries using joins, common table expressions, and window/analytic functions
• Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Looker, DOMO, or Power BI) to bring data insights to life for broad audiences
• Basic statistics proficiency: experiment design, hypothesis testing, statistical significance, probability, and distributions
• Ability to translate business intelligence needs from a variety of stakeholders into technical execution and clear presentation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences

Nice to have:

• Experience using dbt to transform, test, and document data
• Experience working with healthcare industry data or in other complex, regulated data environments
• Experience in a high-growth environment
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred)
• Understanding of effective data modeling strategies and implementations
