Claims Handler – Pet – with APA/CIP Qualification (UK/IRL)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing third-party administrator in the insurance sector. Our client is seeking a Pet Claims Handler with APA or CIP qualification to join their remote team across the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Handle pet insurance claims end to end, from first notification through to final settlement
• Communicate clearly with policyholders throughout the claims process, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Review documentation, verify policy coverage, and assess liability with accuracy
• Set appropriate reserves and manage claims within delegated authority levels
• Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate cases appropriately
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive claims records for audit and compliance purposes
• Contribute to process improvement by identifying and flagging inefficiencies

What We're Looking For

• Based in the UK or Ireland with valid work authorisation
• APA or CIP qualification is required
• 6+ months of pet claims handling experience, or 12+ months of veterinary experience
• Fluency in Spanish or Italian is a strong advantage
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work independently
• Comfortable using data to inform decision-making
• Team-oriented mindset with ambition and strong work ethic
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching others is beneficial
• Background in startup or high-growth environments is a plus
