Senior Contract Solutions Lawyer, APAC

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential legal services organization specializing in private capital transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. Our talent team is seeking a Senior Contract Solutions Lawyer to join their APAC legal function, working with sophisticated investment fund and asset manager clients across Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney.

This senior role offers the chance to independently manage high-volume contract negotiations while leveraging cutting-edge AI-backed legal technology. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor junior legal professionals, and help shape contract playbooks for a growing regional practice.

Responsibilities

• Independently negotiate and execute high volumes of pre-M&A contracts including NDAs, non-reliance letters, joinders, and engagement letters, liaising directly with counterparties against agreed service level agreements
• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for sophisticated investment fund and asset manager clients, building trusted advisor relationships
• Maintain and evolve client-specific contract playbooks, ensuring consistency and quality across every negotiation
• Mentor junior lawyers and paralegals, reviewing their work and contributing to a high-performing team culture
• Utilize and continuously improve the firm's legal technology suite, identifying ways to innovate using AI-backed contract review tools
• Manage the full contract lifecycle for each matter, from first review through execution and system logging

What We're Looking For

• Law degree and licensed to practice: Licensed to practice law in any APAC jurisdiction, the UK, US, or Canada, with 5+ years post-qualification experience
• Track record: Proven experience independently negotiating pre-M&A contracts such as NDAs, non-reliance letters, joinders, and engagement letters in a financial services legal environment
• Trusted advisor skills: Ability to build lasting relationships with sophisticated investment fund and asset manager clients and communicate legal advice clearly
• Commercial mindset: Capacity to balance legal risk against business objectives and flag issues before they escalate
• Collaborative leadership: Experience mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals, and taking ownership of work in a fast-paced environment
• Tech-forward approach (highly preferred): Proficiency with AI-backed contract review tools and a proactive approach to improving legal technology
• Language capability (highly preferred): Ability to review and negotiate in Japanese, Korean, or Mandarin
