Stage Software Engineer – Paris – H/F/X

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data consulting organization seeking a Software Engineering Intern for their Paris office. In this role, you will:

• Participate actively in the design and implementation of robust, scalable technical solutions
• Contribute to software architecture decisions, ensuring performance and code maintainability
• Support DevOps operations including CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), application containerization (e.g., Docker), and data observability tools (e.g., DBT)
• Deploy software solutions on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Develop expertise in one or more technical areas: software development, analytics engineering, ML engineering, cloud architecture, or site reliability engineering
• Conduct technology research to explore new tools and optimize working methods

What We're Looking For

Education: Final year engineering student, Master's degree candidate, or equivalent in software engineering, computer science, or web development, seeking an internship starting January 2027

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Go, or Scala
• Understanding of object-oriented and/or functional programming principles
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git

Personal Qualities:

• Curiosity and proactivity with eagerness to learn and propose new ideas
• Rigor and attention to detail with commitment to clean, quality code
• Team spirit and ability to collaborate with diverse profiles including data scientists and consultants
• Fluent French for team collaboration and professional English required for international projects

The interview process includes four stages: HR interview, coding test with a Senior Software Engineer, architecture and pipeline assessment with a Senior Software Engineer, and motivation interview with a Manager or Director.

This is a 6-month internship based in Paris with potential for permanent hire upon successful completion. You'll receive mentorship from experienced professionals, work on varied and complex projects, and have access to cloud provider certifications and comprehensive onboarding training.
