Senior Full-Stack Engineer – AI Cost Visibility

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud technology organization in their search for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own their AI Cost Visibility product. This is a remote position available across EMEA, including the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Israel, with contractor opportunities in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

Our client works with cloud-driven organizations to optimize their infrastructure spend. AI workloads represent the fastest-growing and least visible line item on cloud bills—model APIs, managed inference, GPUs, and agentic coding tools each report differently, making it nearly impossible for teams to answer basic questions about cost, attribution, and ROI. This product exists to solve that problem.

You'll join an R&D team building the product end-to-end: Go services that ingest and model AI spend, APIs that expose it, and React interfaces where FinOps practitioners and platform engineers make decisions. This is a young product in a category being defined right now—you'll shape how it works, not just implement specs handed to you.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end: Take problems from customer pain through design, implementation, release, monitoring, and iteration. Define what done looks like and own the outcome—reliability, user experience, and measurable impact included. Propose the work you think should happen.
• Master the product and domain: Understand how AI spend works—token and model pricing, inference and GPU economics, usage roll-ups—and how FinOps practitioners reason about it. Explain why a feature matters to customers as clearly as how it's built.
• Work AI-augmented: Use AI daily across your full workflow—exploring codebases and vendor APIs, prototyping, generating and reviewing code, debugging, testing, and documentation. Push on what agentic tooling can do and bring judgment about where AI raises velocity versus where humans hold the quality bar.
• Deliver full-stack: Design, build, and scale backend services in Go and product experiences in TypeScript and React. Turn large volumes of cost and usage data into interfaces that make answers obvious—clear, fast, and trustworthy enough to base financial decisions on.
• Build API-first: Make capabilities fully available through APIs, not just the UI. Both humans and agents should be able to drive the platform.
• Raise the bar: As a senior engineer, set standards through thoughtful design reviews, guardrails that let customers succeed, and practices that enable moving fast without breaking trust. Mentor peers and share what you learn.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including multi-tenant SaaS products, with a track record of owning features or products end-to-end in production
• Strong Go experience for backend services—APIs, data processing, and operational realities of running them
• Strong TypeScript and modern React skills, with a good eye for data presentation
• Comfortable across the stack—you may lean backend or frontend, but you can own a feature from data model through to interface
• Experience building on public cloud (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable), and working proficiency in SQL against analytical stores such as BigQuery
• Product-oriented thinking—you care as much about why you're building something and whether it works for users as how it's built
• AI-augmented working style—you already use AI tools across your engineering workflow and can discuss concretely what you've gained from them and where they've fallen short
• Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles, with ability to set direction for others
• Comfortable with ambiguity in fast-moving markets—you can figure out the right problem to solve, not just the right solution
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated; confident, thorough, and tenacious

Bonus points for: FinOps knowledge and experience with FinOps products; BA/BS degree or equivalent; portfolio demonstrating what you've built in your career.
