About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Content Designer to join their product team on a remote basis from London. This is an exceptional opportunity to take ownership of content strategy across complex digital products, working at the intersection of design thinking, user research, and product development.

As Senior Content Designer, you will shape product experiences that are clear, inclusive, and emotionally engaging. You'll bring expert content design judgment and deep user insight to influence cross-team strategy, support junior designers, and drive alignment across product, design, and engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end content design strategy and execution from discovery through delivery, launch, and ongoing iteration
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to embed content strategy in product discovery and delivery
• Create exceptional, accessible, and inclusive content that builds trust, clarity, and meaningful user engagement
• Wireframe and prototype in Figma, delivering work with clear rationale while adhering to design systems and content principles
• Craft high-quality content for complex product flows, interface text, microcopy, error messaging, help content, and documentation
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research initiatives including user interviews, usability tests, A/B experiments, content audits, and analytics
• Drive the evolution of content design style guides in collaboration with brand, marketing, and communications teams
• Support and mentor junior content designers while managing stakeholder relationships
• Lead alignment across teams, clearly communicating content design rationale and facilitating strategic working sessions
• Balance speed and rigour with strong judgment on when to ship versus polish in fast-moving environments
• Justify content design decisions to senior stakeholders with clear rationale, delivering multiple variations informed by insights

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience working as a content designer
• Deep understanding that content design extends far beyond "just words" – comfort with the design aspect is essential
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-changing environments where processes are still evolving
• Exceptional knowledge of content design principles and end-to-end product thinking
• Experience with A/B testing, UX metrics, data interpretation, and ability to drive independent research initiatives
• Exceptional product intuition – understanding user needs, business constraints, and technical feasibility
• Strong proficiency in Figma for collaboration, prototyping, and producing agile solutions quickly
• Experience using AI tools; building workflows or tools using AI is a plus
• Proven ability to advocate for content design across company areas and embed it early in product planning
• Experience actively contributing to content design systems, creating reusable patterns and components
• Experience in fintech or SaaS environments strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain the rationale behind design decisions
