About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential national nonprofit organization focused on health equity and legal advocacy. We are seeking law students for fully remote legal internships during Summer 2027. These positions offer meaningful exposure to health policy, administrative advocacy, and potential litigation support affecting underserved communities.
This is a 10-week commitment at 37.5 hours per week, working remotely from anywhere in the United States. Interns will be placed within one of three practice focus areas and will collaborate across the organization's legal and policy teams.
Responsibilities
Under supervision of experienced attorneys and policy analysts, summer interns will:
- Conduct legal and policy research on health care access issues, particularly concerning public insurance programs and federal health legislation
- Draft legal memoranda, policy analyses, and advocacy materials
- Assist with responding to technical assistance requests from advocates nationwide
- Support drafting of comments on federal regulations and state program proposals
- Monitor and analyze state and federal legislation and administrative policies
- Participate in coalition strategy meetings
- Contribute to production of guides, issue briefs, blog posts, and presentations for advocate and policymaker audiences
- Provide research and drafting support for potential litigation matters in state and federal courts
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Rising 3L status (completing second year of law school by Summer 2027)
- Students in dual-degree programs (J.D./M.P.H., etc.) considered if at least two years of law school completed
- Strong legal research and writing skills
Preferred:
- Demonstrated commitment to public interest work
- Interest in public health, poverty law, or civil rights
- Passion for expanding health care access for low-income and underserved populations
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Flexibility to attend virtual team meetings across different time zones
