Senior Backend Engineer, NIRA

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential fintech organization building consumer credit solutions across emerging markets. They are processing thousands of applications daily and serving millions of customers through mobile-first technology and advanced machine learning infrastructure. We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their India-based engineering team in Bangalore.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week in the Bangalore office. You will work on high-scale technical challenges, collaborating with engineering teams across the APAC region while having direct impact on platform architecture and product strategy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with local and regional engineering teams to increase platform scale and performance
• Expand the platform to support multiple financial products and underlying instruments
• Drive iterations on credit policy and improve credit decision systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, compliance, support, and analytics teams
• Shape infrastructure strategy and contribute to the product roadmap
• Own technical solutions from concept through deployment and monitoring

What We're Looking For

• Strong professional experience with Java (experience with.NET is a plus)
• Demonstrated experience working in AWS-native environments using services such as DynamoDB, Athena, and Lambda
• Proven track record working on projects that increased platform scalability
• Clear communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience collaborating effectively with globally distributed teams
• Product engineer mindset with ownership mentality from start to finish
• Ability to work hybrid in Bangalore 2-3 days per week
