Director, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential global education nonprofit in their search for a Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL). This role sits within a team that supports international partner organizations across multiple continents to develop robust measurement systems and generate evidence of collective impact on students, program participants, and communities.

In this position, you'll lead capacity-building initiatives that help partner organizations measure core outcomes of their leadership development programs. You'll work directly with organizations experiencing foundational needs, providing technical support to help them adopt and institutionalize MEL systems. This role requires up to 30% international travel and occasional work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead partner engagements (virtual and in-person) for organizations with foundational MEL needs, focusing on building local staff capacity and deploying impact measurement tools
• Support partner organizations in measuring student outcomes, participant leadership development, and program outputs across recruitment, selection, training, and alumni engagement
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functional experts to support program design and measurement strategies
• Design and lead learning experiences and communities of practice to help broader groups advance their MEL routines
• Contribute to global team strategy by participating in action reviews, data diagnostic exercises, and strategic planning sessions
• Develop knowledge products and resources about improving MEL capacity in education settings
• Engage in professional development activities focused on advanced monitoring, evaluation, and learning topics

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 5–10 years of experience, OR Master's degree with 3–6 years of experience in Public Policy, Business Administration, International Development, Data Science, or related analytical field
• Proven consulting experience working directly with nonprofit organizations
• Hands-on experience designing, managing, or adapting monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, preferably in education or global development
• Professional background in education, global development, or international NGO settings
• Full professional fluency in English with exceptional communication and technical writing skills
• Strong analytical capabilities in examining complex data structures and synthesizing trends
• Valid work authorization in your country of residence (no visa sponsorship available)
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time
• Flexibility to work across time zones as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• Fluency in French and/or Arabic
• Experience working with education-focused leadership development programs
