Associate Director, Clinical Science

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential biopharmaceuticals organization in their search for an Associate Director, Clinical Science. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to clinical development programs in a multidisciplinary environment focused on advancing therapeutic candidates through the regulatory pathway.

As a clinical scientist in this role, you'll be involved in operationalizing studies, monitoring data integrity in real time, and conducting medical review and analysis for regulatory documents and publications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, data management, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, and medical functions.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Data Monitoring (35%): Perform high-level clinical data review for quality and patient safety on an ongoing basis; collaborate with data management, clinical operations, and medical monitors to ensure efficient clinical data review; escalate issues internally and to investigators as appropriate; work with cross-functional teams on EDC builds according to protocol specifications
• Study Document Generation and Review (20%): Participate in authoring clinical documents including concept materials, clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and regulatory documents
• Clinical Outputs Preparation (20%): Generate clinical outputs and initial interpretations for internal purposes and key external interactions including investigator and DMC meetings; review study outputs such as Tables/Listings/Figures and SAP updates in collaboration with Biostatistics and Pharmacovigilance
• Study Team and Site Communication (25%): Prepare for and participate in regular study team meetings representing clinical development interests; organize and present data, study designs, and other information to advisory boards, investigator meetings, site interactions, and study committees

What We're Looking For

• PhD or equivalent plus 5+ years of experience, OR bachelor's/master's degree plus 10+ years of post-graduation experience in pharmaceutical industry clinical drug/biologics development and associated regulatory processes
• Strong organizational skills to ensure necessary data collection and documentation are accomplished for required analysis and interpretation of clinical trial results
• Experience with clinical data analysis
• Ability to influence decision-making within a multidisciplinary team in areas of expertise
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to interact effectively with internal team members and external partners
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for business purposes
• Preferred: Experience across Phase I-III drug development trials, particularly with product development in Hematology-Oncology and/or rare disease
