M365 Tenant Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) Project Manage with Security Clearance

Overview

We are representing a confidential federal contractor seeking an M365 Tenant Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) with active Security Clearance to lead a critical infrastructure project. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations and the ability to manage complex projects in a secure government environment. You will serve as the technical authority and project lead for enterprise-scale M365 migrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Microsoft 365 tenant migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation
• Serve as the subject matter expert for all M365 migration activities, providing technical guidance and strategic direction
• Design and implement migration strategies for Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and other M365 workloads
• Coordinate with security teams to ensure compliance with government security standards and maintain clearance requirements throughout migration processes
• Develop detailed migration runbooks, cutover plans, and rollback procedures
• Manage stakeholder communications and provide executive-level status reporting
• Troubleshoot complex migration issues and implement remediation strategies
• Ensure minimal disruption to end users during migration activities
• Document architecture decisions, configurations, and lessons learned

What We're Looking For

• Active Security Clearance (required at time of application)
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Proven project management capabilities with enterprise-scale technology initiatives
• Deep technical knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Azure AD
• Experience with migration tools such as BitTitan, Quest, or native Microsoft migration solutions
• Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements in government environments
• Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in cleared facilities and handling sensitive government data
• Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion under tight deadlines

Pay
