Senior Frontend Developer (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking two Senior Frontend Developers for permanent, full-time positions. You will join a new team responsible for building and maintaining a next-generation product line from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity where you'll make architectural decisions around design, code, and infrastructure aligned with product strategy and time-to-market goals.

Your primary focus will be everything customers interact with—primarily GUI, but also cloud-native tools including CLIs and infrastructure-as-code interfaces. You'll build on top of existing API teams and collaborate closely with UX designers to create exceptional customer experiences. This role involves developing in the open with active community presence, standardizing APIs, and shaping product design through integration with modern design frameworks.

The position requires a pragmatic approach—balancing speed with quality, participating in on-call rotations, and proactively improving system redundancy and uptime. You'll develop fast, fix fast, and bring learnings back to the team in this dynamic startup-within-a-company environment.

What We're Looking For

• Strong production experience with TypeScript 5.9, using the type system effectively to prevent bugs
• Proficiency with Svelte 5 including client-side routing (svelte5-router); deep prior Svelte experience is not required if you're strong in TypeScript and a comparable modern reactive framework
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, comfortable working with evolving API specifications
• Familiarity with Docker, Webpack 5, and PostCSS for containerized builds and frontend tooling
• Experience with Svelte Material UI (SMUI) or comparable component libraries
• E2E testing experience using Playwright and/or Cypress
• Implementation experience with Keycloak.js or comparable SSO/OAuth solutions
• Fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
