Senior Technical Project Manager – PMO (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud infrastructure organization seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to join their Project Management Office. This is a remote opportunity based in Germany, offering the chance to drive strategic initiatives during a significant expansion phase.

As a key member of the PMO, you'll take end-to-end ownership of technical projects spanning development teams and business functions. You'll work at the intersection of technology and business, translating ambiguous requirements into executable plans, structuring initiatives into scalable roadmaps, and coordinating delivery across multiple parallel workstreams. This role reports directly to senior leadership and plays a measurable part in executing the organization's strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-functional technical projects and programs across development teams
• Translate business requirements into structured roadmaps, iterations, and implementation phases
• Coordinate priorities, dependencies, and delivery sequencing across multiple teams and workstreams
• Identify resource bottlenecks and delivery risks early, implementing mitigation strategies
• Ensure transparency through structured reporting, clear governance, and effective escalation management
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communications in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities
• Continuously develop PMO standards, processes, and best practices
• Support portfolio alignment and prioritization activities
• Mentor junior project managers and share knowledge across the organization
• Utilize project management tools including Jira, Confluence, and comparable platforms

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management within software development or technical delivery environments
• Proven track record of end-to-end delivery ownership for cross-functional initiatives with multiple parallel workstreams
• Strong stakeholder and escalation management experience
• High degree of ownership and composure when navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Confident use of common project management tooling such as Jira and Confluence
• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Professional fluency in English required
• Experience in cloud, hosting, or IT infrastructure environments is advantageous
• Familiarity with agile scaling, PMO frameworks, or portfolio management is a plus
• German language skills and certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, PSM) are beneficial but not required
