Overview
We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking an Application Security Analyst I to join their growing security team. This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining secure software development practices across the organization.
Our client is looking for a security-focused professional who will help integrate security controls throughout the software development lifecycle and work closely with engineering teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities
- Support security initiatives within the software development lifecycle
- Assist in implementing and maintaining application security tools and processes
- Conduct security assessments and code reviews to identify vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with development teams to remediate security findings
- Help maintain security standards and best practices documentation
- Participate in threat modeling and security design reviews
- Monitor and respond to security alerts from automated scanning tools
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and security testing methodologies
- Experience with or knowledge of application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA)
- Understanding of software development processes and version control systems
- Ability to communicate security concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Security certifications (CEH, Security+, or similar) are a plus
