Staff Full Stack Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential software organization in their search for a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer based in Canada. Our client builds advanced analytics solutions for industrial sectors, focusing on time-series data processing and machine learning capabilities. This is a fully remote position with a talented engineering team committed to agile principles and collaborative development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve complex software systems across the full technology stack
• Write elegant, maintainable code with a focus on extensibility and best practices
• Own features end-to-end, working effectively across frontend and backend codebases
• Take on leadership responsibilities and mentor junior engineers to scale team capabilities
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and seeking constructive feedback
• Collaborate through pair-programming and other team acceleration techniques
• Build and deploy generative AI infrastructure and applications
• Advocate for unit testing, continuous integration, and elegant technical solutions
• Maintain open communication about growth opportunities with managers and colleagues

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Substantial professional experience in software development with a proven track record of leading successful development efforts
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Expertise in building large React applications with TypeScript
• Expertise in one or more backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Python
• Experience building and deploying generative AI infrastructure and/or applications
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with great attention to detail
• Proven leadership skills with ability to guide and mentor engineers
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional team environments
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship requirements

Pay
