About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential government organization in Australia seeking an Azure Monitoring Engineer to strengthen their enterprise monitoring capabilities. This is a contract role supporting critical business systems and services that operate around the clock.
You will join a dedicated BAU Enterprise Monitoring team focused on identifying and resolving system issues before they impact operations. This is an offsite role available to Australian Citizens with the ability to obtain Baseline Clearance, based in Canberra or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for monitoring infrastructure
- Configure and manage monitoring tools including Azure Monitor, AppDynamics, and Splunk
- Implement and integrate new monitoring toolsets across the enterprise
- Document and execute changes following ITIL framework procedures
- Build dashboards for application and platform monitoring
- Support and refine monitoring solutions through stakeholder consultation
- Coordinate service request and incident response activities under ITIL framework
- Maintain documentation and management tools to organizational standards
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in technical operations managing complex secure environments
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Demonstrated experience providing application and infrastructure monitoring, including:
- Infrastructure and Azure resource monitoring
- Configuring alerts and diagnostic settings in monitoring platforms
- Building monitoring dashboards
- Diagnosing application performance issues through metrics, logs, and traces analysis
- Managing and analyzing application logs for troubleshooting
- Proven DevOps and automation experience, including:
- Automating, testing, and deploying infrastructure templates with CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps and Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Git branching and pull request workflows
- Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL)
- Ability to complete high-standard documentation
- Excellent communication skills with technical stakeholders and customers
- Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain Baseline Clearance
- Current residence in Australia
Desirable:
- Software development experience using.NET technologies

Contract Details
