Senior Product Security Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to join their growing Product Security team. In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of security automation initiatives and strengthen product security pipelines
• Proactively explore AI applications for vulnerability detection and remediation
• Continuously learn and share knowledge about vulnerabilities in the product context
• Enhance security services through software engineering solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the product department in a growing global environment
• Maintain outbound email security by regularly reviewing related metrics
• Maintain Web Application Firewall rulesets
• Secure Kubernetes infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain central HTML sanitization services written in TypeScript

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking candidates with:

• Practical knowledge of security topics including penetration testing, secure software development, vulnerability management, SAST, and DAST
• Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python
• Practical knowledge of Unix and Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably managed via Terraform and Kustomize
• Strong communication skills in English (German is a plus)

This is a remote position with a team that values curiosity, humility, and a growth mindset. The Product Security team operates as an enablement function, providing tools and guidance that help developers integrate security early in the development process.
