Business Director – (F/H) – CDI

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential media agency for a Business Director role based in Paris. This is a permanent (CDI) position supporting a major consumer goods category across European markets.

In this role, you will serve as a strategic media expert working across the ZEUR (Zone Europe) transversal team. You will be responsible for developing relationships with category teams, demonstrating excellent communications planning skills and top-tier strategic counsel while promoting innovative thinking and planning excellence.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and developing media investment allocation strategy across category portfolios, markets, and brands
• Understanding ZEUR category challenges as well as local market specificities
• Becoming a key player in client business, leading and executing their vision
• Providing strategic and media counsel to ZEUR markets
• Establishing strategic communication principles and detailed guidelines for local adaptation at the above-market level
• Designing quarterly business reviews and bi-annual top-to-top sessions to examine strategic performance, key learnings, challenges, and future plans
• Regularly providing brand teams with updates on media landscape evolution, media forecasts, and category spending insights
• Supporting the team in planning and recommending media investments, portfolio, and key campaigns across markets
• Providing guidance and frameworks on measurement approaches and new pilot projects
• Establishing regular touchpoints with market clusters and key markets to understand feedback, implementation challenges, and important market dynamics

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in media planning and strategy
• Prior experience required with large global and/or regional clients
• Strong experience in multimedia planning
• Experience in high-level client and stakeholder management
• Experience coordinating multiple markets, stakeholders, and agency partners

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of consumer goods consumption trends and the ZEUR media landscape
• Data culture: awareness of available resources and ability to transform data into insights that shape clear strategic opportunities
• Strong opinions with the ability to express them clearly and positively
• Excellent storytelling skills to give ideas the best chance of becoming reality
• Sufficient knowledge of the industry and regional market landscape (consumers, publishers, regulation) and certain specialties (Search, Programmatic, Retail Digital Media)
• Strong organizational skills to help structure and drive category roadmaps
• Very strong English language skills (essential for daily work)
• Higher education degree (Bachelor's minimum; Master's is a plus)
