Senior Manager, IT

Xcelenergy is recruiting a Senior Manager, IT to lead technology operations across one of our two locations. Join us in this full-time role where you'll shape the future of our IT infrastructure and drive digital transformation throughout the company.

About the Role

As Senior Manager, IT at Xcelenergy, you'll direct critical technology initiatives that support one of America's largest utility operations. This leadership position places you at the center of our digital strategy, managing infrastructure, systems, and teams that deliver technology solutions to millions of customers. You'll partner with business leaders across the organization to align technology investments with strategic priorities and operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee IT teams responsible for systems, infrastructure, and technology service delivery
• Create and implement technology roadmaps that advance company objectives and competitive positioning
• Direct enterprise-scale projects in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and system modernization
• Manage IT operating budgets and capital expenditures with financial accountability
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for hardware, software, and managed services
• Establish and enforce IT governance, security standards, and regulatory compliance
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimization

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in senior management
• Demonstrated success leading technical teams and delivering large-scale technology projects
• Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, network architecture, and cybersecurity principles
• Experience managing substantial IT budgets and vendor negotiations
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
• Familiarity with utility industry systems and regulatory environment preferred
