The Opportunity

As a Senior Finance Associate at WFP, you will play a key role in managing financial operations and supporting the organization's commitment to transparency and accountability. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Process and verify financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and payment authorizations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve financial queries and discrepancies
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Support financial planning and forecasting initiatives aligned with organizational objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum three years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or a closely related function
  • Strong proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and audit procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish language skills are advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a multicultural environment
